I can not say enough about Dr. Joi and her amazing staff. I have never had a vet call me after hours or on the weekend to see how my babies are. I’ve never had a vet give me her cell while going through some critical sicknesses so I could feel that I’m not alone. I have even butt-dialed the poor Dr. and she has answered me. She is not only the most caring vet I have ever had in the 40 years I have owned my fur babies, but her staff is amazing as well. She has helped me thru some pretty rough patches and I know besides all the other animals she is attending to, I’m still on her mind. It’s not about the money with Dr. Joi it’s about the pet. If you live in the area or even close to the area, ditch those expensive chain clinics and come here to someone who cares about animals, not about charging you an arm and a leg. Our Guiding Principles

We treat patients as if they were our own pets.
We treat clients as if they were our mothers.
Regardless of the situation, we do the right thing.
If another vet can do something better than we can, we will refer a patient to that vet. We utilize local specialists and emergency hospitals.
Patients come before money. We need to pay our staff and our bills, but if we practice good medicine and treat people well, the money will follow.
We go out of our way to make a pleasant work environment. We leave our troubles at the door. We do our best to help fellow employees.
We educate our clients. We emphasize employee education.
All employees are encouraged to give input on medical cases.
Management will support employees.
If we have time to lean we have time to clean.
Medications, especially pain meds and long-term arthritis meds, will be reasonably priced.

American Animal Hospital Association Accredited – AAHA

We are proud to be one of the 15% of veterinary hospitals in America who belong to the American Animal Hospital Association. What does being an AAHA hospital mean? It means we allow an inspector to come into our hospital to evaluate our medicine, medical records, surgery suite, protocols, and so on. They look at everything to make sure our hospital is top-notch. When Dr. Joi had her first AAHA inspection at Tequesta Vet Clinic, the inspector planned to spend the day at our hospital. She was done by 9:30 am. She commented that it was the quickest inspection she had done in her 12 years of hospital inspections. When Dr. Joi says she is Type A, she means it!

We proudly support the AAHA for all the protocols and research they do for our profession. It is the AAHA that provides the standards of care for veterinary medicine and guidelines.
